FEMALE EMPOWERMENT IN THE METAL ARTS
ABOUT US
CREATIVITY, KNOWLEDGE, EMPOWERMENT
Dragonfly Metals is a free-form metal arts project that focuses on empowering women in designing and fabricating various metal art projects.
Inspiration comes from people and art in cities and towns around the world by so many: New Orleans, Barcelona, Detroit, Berlin, San Diego, Bend, Amsterdam, Santa Cruz, Bruges, Portlligat, New York City, Moab, Puerto Nuevo, San Francisco, and much more. So many women throughout history who excel in male-dominated fields inspire. Admiration is due any person, especially women, who lead by example and use their talent, voices, and drive to help better the world for the next generation. Our goal in creating Dragonfly Metals is to help anyone who has a passion for metal art, and wants to be around others with the same passion, inspire each other and work for educating youth and female empowerment in the metal arts.
Our artists use ferrous and non-ferrous metals as their medium. They design and fabricate custom jewelry, forms, home decorations, lights, frames, furniture, yard art, garden delights, driveway gates, etc… Dragonfly Metals is based in Escondido and Elfin Forest, California. ArtHatch is our home at this time.
We welcome all those who love, create, and appreciate metal art and care to help empower more women to work with metal.
Creating Beauty
Dragonfly Metals is not only a place for the public to see amazing and unique creations with metal, its a place to meet, talk, collaborate, learn, teach, and be with other women and those individuals who support women in metal arts. We are at the beginning on what I hope is a long ride of empowerment for women in metal-related fields and arts. Contact us today if you are interested in more.
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
“Black and white are the colors of photography. They symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is subjected.”
